The Barrel-maker

As its name suggests, all the cooper’s know-how is gathered in one single object: the barrel. Still indispensable to winemakers today, its use is mainly summed up in the proper ageing of alcohol, mainly used for wine. Created by the Gauls more than 2000 years ago, it was then used to store all types of food: grains, salt, then liquids like wine and olive oil.
